Posey® Personal Alarm

Restraint Free. Allows freedom of movement for patients and residents while complying in today's regulatory environment. Adjustable patient attachment cord adjusts from 31" to 60", offering a wide range of movement. Five Alarm tones makes individual identification easier, and can distinguish between other facility alarms. Uses a standard 9V battery. (Included).

The RN + Monitoring System

Wireless Model
The RN + restraint-free fall prevention monitoring system, can be used to monitor residents in bed (when using the bed senor pad) and in a wheelchair (when using the chair sensor cushion). The RN + is a totally restraint free monitoring system that alerts caregivers quickly to prevent fall injuries. The wireless alarm transmission – model LMRN10, activates the wireless nursing station monitor – model LMRN64, which can monitor up to 64 transmitters. Standard features include: Independent from nurse-call system, powered by rechargeable battery – 2 year battery life, alarm with 5 selectable tones, status and alarm indicator light, switches easily from bed to wheelchair monitoring.

The Guardian Monitoring System

Nurse Call Model
The same benefits mentioned above apply to the RN + nurse call model. Standard features include: Nurse-Call interface, battery powered alarm unit. 6-month battery life (9 volts), 5 selectable alarm sounds, status and alarm indicator light, and switches easily from bed to wheelchair monitoring.

ErgoSafe Products

ErgoSafe Products works closely with nursing homes and other care giving institutions to provide resident handling devices to assist caregivers with their daily tasks of moving and repositioning residents.

ErgoSlide™

The ErgoSlide can be used to move a resident across a bed, sit them up, turn them, and help them get out of bed without pulling the resident's body, arms or legs, and without the caregiver having to lift. It is made from a strong nylon material sewn into a long roller band and is wide enough for a patient to lie on. Webbing handles are on both sides of the sheet around the full length, which are used to turn or slide the resident. Bariatric Ergoslide™ is also available.

ErgoSlide LT™

The ErgoSlide Lateral Transfer can be used to move a resident from bed to bed, gurney/stretcher to bed, or exam table to bed without pulling the resident's body, arms or legs, and without the caregiver having to lift. Even more, when using the LT, there is not a need for multiple caregivers to execute the move. That's right, now one caregiver can easily perform a lateral transfer without using mechanical lifts, assuming the caregiver has assessed that he or she will be able perform the move. Constructed from a strong nylon material sewn into a long roller band, the ErgoSlide LT has four rows of webbed handles around the full length, which are used to perform the lateral transfer.

ErgoBelt™

Our traditional Gait Belt gives the caregiver something to hold when assist a walking resident. Not only can this protect the caregiver from injury, but it can also give a frail resident more confidence to walk unassisted, knowing that assistance can be given if needed.

Ergo Transfer Belt w/handles

Worksmart® Leg/footrest covers

To enhance the comfort and reduce the risk of injury for residents in wheelchairs who lack the physical/mental ability to keep their feet safely on the footrests. Will fit 16", 18" and 20" chair. The footrest covers slip over the foot pedals to provide protection for delicate skin.

Posture-Pal® Safety Cushion

This innovative safety cushion fits snugly across the resident's lap and securely against the wheelchair arms keeping the resident from sliding down or out of the wheelchair. Covered in a waterproof covering and are available for a full-length arm or a desk length arm wheelchair. The desk arm version has a Velcro strap to secure them in place.

Wander Strip®

The door guard provides a strong visual reminder to residents not to exit through the doorway. Attaches with Velcro adhesive or magnetic strips to a standard 44" door width. Wander Strips is a bright yellow nylon, 10" wide and removes easily in a case of emergency or staff entering or exiting doorway. Available in custom sizes.

Worksmart® Transfer Belt

The worksmart transfer belt has a plastic clip buckle to hold it securely in place. Loop handles around the belt provide for ideal hand positioning when transferring the resident.

Floor Pad

Any patient with special needs to prevent injury from falls can benefit from the use of floor pads to protect them in the event of a fall from bed. This Floor pad is made of high Density, healthcare grade polyurethane foam, which meets flammability standards to use in all healthcare facilities in Canada. This product has no metal or zippers and is safe for patients at risk for self-inflicted injuries. A non-slip bottom and Velcro straps help keep this floor pad in place. Dimensions: 16" x 62" x 2"

Formulated to protect the softness and theaputic advantages of Shear Comfort with the inclusion of an antibacterial which protects against bacterial growth, eliminating cross infection and preventing odours. Also contains Tea tree Oil, an effective deterrent against dust mites - a known allergen to asthmatics.

Sheepskin® Cushion-It™

Provides that extra pressure care and comfort for standard seating and back products. Cushion-It™ can be used directly on a seat or back of a standard wheelchair. It can also be placed over standard foam cushions to increase pressure care, and absorb perspiration. Each Cushion- It™ comes with Velcro straps to hold it in place around cushions or wheelchair canvasses. One size, fits all, will accommodate seats and cushions up to 50cm wide to 50cm deep. Sheepskin Heel Protector

20% of all pressure ulcers occur at the Heels. The Shear Comfort Heel protector protects the heels wherever the feet are placed.

Sheepskin Overlay

A complete skin to cover from the Shoulders to the Sacrum area. Providing reduction in pressure, friction and Shear whilst absorbing moisture and transfering heat away from the body. Measures approximately 92cm long and 63cm wide.

Sheepskin Palm Protector

Protect where contractures of the fingers press the nails into the palms of the hands, such as after a stroke, rheumatoid arthritis, arthrogryposis, multiple sclerosis, nerve damage. Also offers moisture absorption reducing the likelihood of maceration. Available in either left or right hand versions.

For those at risk of leg and foot ulcers as a consequence of diabetes. Foot swelling such as with oedema can thus be readily accommodated. The open toe design allows toe inspection without the need to remove the boot.

Sheepskin Pressure Care Assist

A 70cm x 30cm strip of sheep skin covering a width of a single bed with linen flaps to tuck under the mattress. For a person with the possible risk of ulceration to the sacrum, heels, shoulders or head.

Sheepskin Short Slipper Boots

Ideal for bed and indoor use to protect the heel and entire foot. The large toe-to-ankle tongue and generous Velcro straps allow for easy on and off, and for use with swollen feet.

Sheepskin Tall Slipper Boot

Spenco® Silicore® Foot Pillow

Soft, Silicore padding provides pressure relief for feet, heels and ankles whether in bed or wheelchair. Foam padded Velcro closure keeps pads firmly in place.

Hollow, Silicore Fibres absorb and spread the forces of pressure, friction and shear. Silicone also prevents moisture such as urine from entering the fibres. The pad can be easily laundered and dried. Silicore pad is flame retardant and has a fluid proof covering on one side. Spenco pads give optimum pressure relief with no moving parts to break down and no concerns about holes or air loss.

Geri-Hip® Protectors

Therapeutic Hip Protectors
